The launching of our Viking ship was a big success. A lot of people came out to this wonderful event held in the Vanier Park outside the Maritime Museum in Vancouver, BC. I was one of the lucky participants this day and I took some pictures, which I post for you here, so please enjoy!

	The Ship is waiting to be launched . A lot of people were there to take part of this historical event.		Scandinavian ambassadors and people from BCVSP and the Maritime Museum held speeches before the launch.



	The girls are getting instructions how to go about christening the ship		Mead was used for the christening and the girls have their horns ready to be filled.



	The mead does apparently not smell that great for the girls!		After a while they are getting their horns filled with mead to throw on the ship for the christening.



	During the christening of the ship there was a big media interest. The girls did a great job naming the ship. The name is Munin after one of Odin's ravens.		Right after the christening the crew got ready for the launching.



	A lot of people came wearing traditional Scandinavian dresses or Viking costumes as these wonderful looking kids.		The dragon head from our ship, Munin.
